About the artist
Tanja Savić is a Serbian pop-folk singer born on March 20, 1985, in Radinac, who launched her career by competing in the first season of the talent show Zvezde Granda in 2004, finishing in third place. Shortly after the competition she released her debut single «Za Moje Dobro», followed quickly by her first studio album, Tako mlada, which became a major commercial success and was later named the most sought-after album of the year at the Dani Estrade awards.
She followed up with a self-titled second album in 2008 and a third, Sestre Po Suzama, in 2009, before taking a career hiatus. Savić returned to music in 2013 with the single «Hotel Za Izgubljene Duše», re-establishing herself as one of the leading voices of the Balkan pop-folk scene. Over the following years she released a steady stream of singles, several of which were later compiled into her fourth studio album, Stranci, gathering material issued between 2017 and 2019.
Her catalogue, including songs like «Zlatnik», «Laga laga», «Bye bye» and «Soba zablude», reflects the emotionally direct, melodically rich style characteristic of turbo-folk and pop-folk, built around powerful vocal delivery and themes of love, heartbreak and resilience. Tanja Savić remains one of the most recognizable and consistently active performers in contemporary Serbian pop-folk music.
