Tame Impala

Tame Impala is the psychedelic rock project of Australian multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, based in Perth. Parker writes, records, and produces virtually everything himself, layering swirling guitars, synthesizers, and heavily processed vocals into a sound that draws on 1960s psych rock, funk, and modern dance-pop production. Live performances feature a full backing band, but the studio work is almost entirely Parker's solo vision.

The project broke through with the 2010 debut album Innerspeaker, followed by Lonerism (2012), which cemented Tame Impala as a leading voice in the psych-rock revival. With Currents (2015) Parker shifted toward a more synth-driven, danceable sound, producing hits like «The Less I Know the Better» and «Let It Happen» that pulled the project into mainstream pop territory while keeping its dreamy, introspective character. The Slow Rush (2020) continued this evolution, exploring themes of time and change.

Beyond his own releases, Parker has become an in-demand collaborator and producer, working with artists across pop, hip-hop, and electronic music, including contributions to tracks by Rihanna, Travis Scott, and Kanye West, and remix work such as the recent «Dracula (JENNIE Remix)». Tame Impala's blend of nostalgic psychedelia with contemporary studio polish has made it one of the most influential projects in modern rock and pop crossover music.
