Take That

Take That are an English pop group formed in Manchester in 1990, one of the most successful boy bands to emerge from the UK. The classic line-up featured Gary Barlow, Robbie Williams, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange, and through the early-to-mid 1990s the group dominated the British charts with albums like Everything Changes and Nobody Else, built around Barlow's songwriting and slick, radio-friendly pop-R&B production. Hits such as «Back for Good», «Pray», «Everything Changes» and «A Million Love Songs», alongside covers of «Relight My Fire» and «It Only Takes a Minute», made them a defining act of the era's teen-pop boom.

Robbie Williams departed in 1995 amid rising internal tension, and the band split the following year after finishing their tour as a four-piece. A decade later, spurred by a reunion documentary and a greatest-hits compilation, Barlow, Owen, Donald and Orange re-formed for The Ultimate Tour, launching a hugely successful second act.

The reunited group released further chart-topping albums including Beautiful World and The Circus, moving toward a more mature, orchestral pop sound while retaining the emotive balladry that defined their earlier work. Songs like «Rule the World», «Shine» and «Patience» became new signature hits, cementing Take That's status as one of Britain's best-loved and most enduring pop acts.
