SuperM

SuperM is a South Korean supergroup formed jointly by SM Entertainment and Capitol Records, bringing together members from several established SM acts: Taemin of SHINee, Baekhyun and Kai of EXO, Taeyong and Mark of NCT 127, and Ten and Lucas of WayV. The project was conceived to unite top vocal, rap, and dance talent from across SM's roster into a single act aimed at global audiences.

The group was announced in Los Angeles in 2019 and famously described as an assembled team akin to a superhero ensemble. They debuted with a self-titled EP in October 2019, which made history by debuting at number one on the Billboard 200, an unprecedented feat for a Korean act's debut release, and quickly drew major attention on Billboard's Social 50 chart as well.

SuperM's sound centers on high-energy pop with strong hip-hop and R&B elements, showcased in tracks like «Jopping», «100», and «Better Days», alongside their contribution to charity compilations such as «With You (One World: Together At Home)». Their debut EP was followed by the full-length album «Super One» in 2020, further establishing the group as a landmark collaborative project within K-pop.
