South Park is not a musical act in the traditional sense but the long-running animated TV series created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, which premiered on August 13, 1997. The pair met at the University of Colorado and bonded over a shared love of Monty Python, later creating the short «The Spirit of Christmas», which became one of the internet's earliest viral videos and eventually led to the series being greenlit by Comedy Central.
