SHAUN

SHAUN, born Kim Yun-ho, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, producer and DJ who first gained recognition as the keyboardist and backing vocalist of the indie rock band The Koxx before launching his solo career. His solo work moves away from guitar-driven rock toward a smoother blend of pop, electronic and R&B textures, marked by breezy production and laid-back vocal delivery.

His defining moment came with «Way Back Home», a mellow, tropical-house-influenced single that unexpectedly topped South Korean charts in 2018. The song's sudden success drew scrutiny and allegations of chart manipulation, which SHAUN and his management firmly denied; the controversy nonetheless made the track one of the most talked-about Korean pop releases of that year. Its popularity extended internationally, aided by remixes such as the Sam Feldt Edit and versions released in Japanese.
