Shane & Shane

Shane & Shane is an American contemporary Christian worship duo made up of Shane Barnard and Shane Everett, who met while attending Texas A&M University. After each pursued solo work, the two joined forces and built a career centered on congregational worship music, releasing a long string of studio and live albums over more than a decade.

Their sound blends acoustic folk and pop textures with the melodic simplicity favored in modern church music, often setting Scripture and hymn texts, such as their arrangement of «Before The Throne Of God Above», to accessible, singable melodies. Songs like «Psalm 46 (Lord of Hosts)» and «Psalm 34 (Taste and See)» reflect their recurring practice of adapting biblical psalms directly into song.

Beyond recording, Shane & Shane founded The Worship Initiative, a resource platform offering chord charts, video tutorials, and devotionals built around cover versions of popular worship songs, which has become as central to their identity as their original catalog.
