Сергей Лазарев (Sergey Lazarev)

Sergey Lazarev is a Russian pop singer and actor born in Moscow on 1 April 1983. He started performing as a child, joining the well-known children's ensemble Neposedi, the same group that also included future t.A.T.u. members Yulia Volkova and Lena Katina, as well as his future musical partner Vlad Topalov. As a teenager Lazarev and Topalov formed the duo Smash!!, which achieved considerable success in Russia in the early 2000s before Lazarev moved on to a solo career.

As a solo artist, Lazarev has become one of the most consistent hitmakers of Russian mainstream pop, known for polished, radio-friendly songs that combine pop with electronic and R&B production, and occasional rock-tinged arrangements. His catalogue includes hits such as «Так красиво (So Beautiful)», «Снег в океане (Snow In The Ocean)», «Это всё она (It's All Her)» and «Сдавайся (Surrender)», many of which topped Russian charts and became staples of his live shows.

Lazarev is also known internationally for representing Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest, most notably with the song «You Are the Only One», a performance that brought him wide recognition across Europe. Alongside his music career he has worked as an actor and television host, maintaining a prominent presence in Russian entertainment media for over two decades.
