Selena Gomez & the Scene were an American pop band formed in Hollywood, California in 2008, fronted by actress-turned-singer Selena Gomez. The group blended bubbly pop-rock with electronic and dance-pop influences, giving them a bright, radio-friendly sound distinct from Gomez's later solo work.
Their debut album, Kiss & Tell, arrived in 2009 and was followed by A Year Without Rain in 2010, which spawned the dance-leaning hit «Round & Round», and When the Sun Goes Down in 2011, home to the breakout single «Who Says».
