Saja Boys

Saja Boys are a fictional K-pop boy group created for Sony Pictures Animation and Netflix's 2025 animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters. The name «Saja» carries a double meaning in Korean, referring both to a lion and to a jeoseung saja, the grim reaper figure of Korean folklore who guides souls between worlds — a duality reflected in the group's supernatural role within the film as demonic idols. The five members are Jinu, the only one given a proper character name, alongside Baby Saja, Mystery Saja, Romance Saja, and Abs Saja.

The group's music was voiced by a cast of real singers and songwriters: Andrew Choi as Jinu, Danny Chung of U-KISS as Baby Saja, Kevin Woo as Mystery Saja, samUIL as Romance Saja, and neckwav as Abs Saja. Their soundtrack songs, most notably «Soda Pop» and «Your Idol», blend glossy contemporary K-pop production with playful, hook-driven pop and R&B textures typical of the genre's idol-group sound.

Despite being a fictional act tied to a single film, Saja Boys became a genuine cultural phenomenon, with «Soda Pop» spreading widely online and spawning multiple language versions, including French, Spanish, and Tagalog renditions, plus instrumental and sing-along cuts — an unusual afterlife for a soundtrack group born entirely inside animation.
