MakSim, born Marina Abrosimova on June 10, 1983, in Kazan, is a Russian singer, songwriter, and producer who became one of the most prominent pop-rock voices in Russian-language music during the 2000s. Performing initially under the name Maxi-M, she built her career on emotionally direct lyrics and a powerful, distinctive vocal delivery that blended pop hooks with rock energy.

Her debut album Trudny Vozrast (2006) launched her to national fame, followed by Moy Ray (2007) and Odinochka (2009), cementing her reputation as an artist who spoke candidly about youth, love, and independence. Songs like «Знаешь ли ты», «Отпускаю», and «Не отдам» became defining hits of the era, showcasing her ability to fuse melodic pop-rock with R&B and electronic textures.

Over the following decade she continued evolving her sound through albums such as Drugaya Realnost (2013), Khorosho (2015), and Poligamnost (2018), maintaining a loyal following while experimenting with more contemporary production.
