Robyn

Robyn, born Robin Miriam Carlsson, is a Swedish singer, songwriter and record producer who first broke through internationally with her 1995 debut album «Robyn Is Here», which yielded the Billboard Hot 100 top-10 hits «Do You Know (What It Takes)» and «Show Me Love». After further Swedish-only releases, she re-emerged with the self-released, self-titled «Robyn» in 2005, put out through her own label Konichiwa Records, which won her creative independence and critical acclaim.

Her defining artistic statement came with the «Body Talk» trilogy of mini-albums in 2010, blending minimalist electronic production with emotionally direct pop songwriting; it produced beloved singles such as «Dancing on My Own», «Hang with Me» and «Call Your Girlfriend» and earned multiple Grammy nominations. She followed this with collaborative projects, including the EP «Do It Again» with Röyksopp and «Love Is Free» with La Bagatelle Magique.

In 2018 she released «Honey», her sixth studio album, marked by a more understated, dance-floor-focused electronic sound and led by the singles «Missing U» and the title track. Robyn is widely credited as a major influence on modern electronic pop, admired for fusing melancholic songwriting with club-ready production.
