Ricky Montgomery

Ricky Montgomery is an American singer-songwriter born in Los Angeles and raised in the St. Louis area from 2005. He started out playing in local bands around West St. Louis County as a teenager, contributing to indie projects before pursuing music under his own name.

He released his debut EP «Caught on the Moon» in 2014, followed by his full-length debut album in 2016. After briefly stepping away from music, he found unexpected and massive success years later when his songs «Mr. Loverman» and «Line Without a Hook» went viral online, introducing his catalog to a huge new audience well after their original release.

Montgomery's music is defined by warm, melodic indie pop and pop-rock songwriting with an intimate, conversational lyrical style, heard in tracks like «This December», «California», and «My Heart is Buried in Venice».
