Relja

Relja Popović, known mononymously as Relja, is a Serbian singer and actor born in Belgrade on August 2, 1989. He began making music in primary school with childhood friend Vlada Matović, performing rap under the alias «Drima» while Vlada went by «Vonta». Their breakthrough track, «Moja jedina», propelled them to regional fame, and in 2005 the duo formalized their partnership as the group Elitni odredi, one of the most popular pop-rap acts in Serbia and the wider Balkan region through the 2000s and early 2010s.

Beyond music, Relja built a parallel acting career, notably winning the Heart of Sarajevo award for his role in the 2009 film «Obični ljudi». In March 2015, Elitni odredi announced their split, with both members moving on to solo careers. Relja quickly released a string of singles that year, continuing to blend pop, rap and R&B influences.

As a solo artist, Relja has become known for glossy, radio-friendly pop-rap with Latin and dance-pop flourishes, reflected in tracks like «Latino Evropa» and «Mi Amor». Songs such as «Samo jako», «Baš ti se sviđa» and «Omađijala» further cemented his status as one of the most streamed and recognizable Serbian pop performers of his generation.
