Regular Show

Regular Show is an American animated sitcom created by J.G. Quintel for Cartoon Network, following groundskeepers Mordecai and Rigby as their laziness and love of entertainment repeatedly spiral into surreal, over-the-top misadventures at the park where they work. The series developed out of two of Quintel's college shorts, The Naive Man from Lolliland and 2 in the AM PM, and was originally pitched under the title Normal Show before being picked up as one of the few series greenlit from Cartoon Network's Cartoonstitute showcase.

The show premiered in 2010 and ran for eight seasons and 261 episodes, plus a feature film, closing out its run in 2017. Alongside its distinctive blend of mundane workplace comedy and absurdist fantasy, Regular Show built a strong musical identity, with songs woven directly into episodes and scripts — from party anthems like «Party Tonight» to comic set pieces such as «Hummus Rap» and «Rigby’s Body».

That musical strand became one of the show's signatures, giving its soundtrack a life of its own among fans well beyond the episodes it originated in, and contributing to the series' cult following across audiences of different ages.
