Powfu

Powfu, born Isaiah Faber on March 31, 1999, is a Canadian rapper and singer from Vancouver, British Columbia, known for melancholic, lo-fi hip-hop steeped in themes of heartbreak and somber introspection. He built a following on SoundCloud while still in high school, releasing early tracks under a deliberately anonymous-sounding name, and stayed rooted in the lofi hip-hop community for years before breaking through.

His song «death bed (coffee for your head)», featuring vocals from beabadoobee, became a massive global hit after spreading on TikTok, eventually reaching number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track’s soft, sample-driven production and confessional lyrics about depression and connection captured the aesthetic that defines much of his catalog, including songs like «I Can’t Sleep» and «ill come back to you».

Following the success of «death bed», Powfu released it under exclusive license to Columbia Records as part of the poems EP, while continuing to put out lofi-leaning material both under his own name and as no.cape. His work sits at the intersection of bedroom-pop sensibility and rap songwriting, and he remains a notable example of an artist whose career was propelled largely by organic, platform-driven virality rather than traditional industry routes.
