Pinguini Tattici Nucleari, often abbreviated PTN, is an Italian pop-rock band formed in 2010 in the province of Bergamo. The lineup is built around Riccardo Zanotti as lead vocalist and main songwriter, alongside Simone Pagani on bass, Lorenzo Pasini and Nicola Buttafuoco on guitars, Elio Biffi on keyboards and accordion, and Matteo Locati on drums. Their unusual name is an Italian translation of Tactical Nuclear Penguin, a beer once marketed by the Scottish brewery BrewDog as the strongest in the world, a quirky choice that reflects the band's ironic sense of humor.

The band's sound mixes catchy pop melodies with rock instrumentation and Zanotti's witty, often bittersweet lyrics that swing between irony and melancholy, touching on love, everyday life and generational anxieties. This blend helped them grow from the Italian indie circuit into one of the country's most popular contemporary acts, with songs like «Ringo Starr», «Scrivile Scemo», «Antartide» and «La storia infinita» becoming staples on Italian radio and streaming charts. Their track «Pastello Bianco», dealing with themes of loss and grief, became a particularly resonant hit with audiences.
