Phillipa Soo

Phillipa Soo is an American actress and singer best known for originating the role of Eliza Hamilton in the Broadway musical Hamilton, a performance that earned her a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical. Her rich, expressive soprano and emotional phrasing became closely associated with songs like «Burn», «Helpless», and «The Schuyler Sisters».

A graduate of Juilliard's acting program, Soo began her theatrical career Off-Broadway in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 before joining the original cast of Hamilton, one of the defining musical theater productions of the 2010s.
