Pedro Capó

Pedro Capó, born Pedro Francisco Rodríguez Sosa on November 14, 1980, is a Puerto Rican singer-songwriter whose career spans two decades of Latin pop and R&B. He began performing as part of the group Marka Registrada before launching a solo career, releasing his debut album Fuego Y Amor in 2005. His stage name pays homage to his father, Bobby Capó Jr., and his grandfather, the celebrated Puerto Rican songwriter Bobby Capó.

Capó built a steady catalog through the following decade, but it was «Calma» in 2018 that brought him worldwide recognition. The remix featuring Puerto Rican rapper Farruko turned the song into a massive tropical-pop hit, amassing billions of views and cementing Capó's presence on Latin charts internationally; further remixes with artists like Alicia Keys and producer Alan Walker extended the song's reach.

Despite the scale of that single's success, Capó has continued to release new music, including tracks such as «La Fiesta» and «La Vida Va», resisting the one-hit-wonder label. His sound blends acoustic-leaning pop songwriting with tropical and R&B textures, reflecting both his family's musical legacy and his own evolving artistic voice within the broader Latin music landscape.
