Patrick Watson

Patrick Watson is a Canadian musician and the frontman of the band bearing his name, celebrated for a distinctive blend of chamber pop, orchestral arrangements, and cinematic atmosphere. Born in Lancaster, California, and raised in Hudson, Quebec, he studied music in Montreal before releasing his debut solo project, «Waterproof9», in 2001. His band's breakthrough came with 2006's «Close to Paradise», which won the Polaris Music Prize and established his reputation for lush, theatrical songwriting built around his falsetto-leaning, expressive vocals.
