Passenger

Passenger is the stage name of Mike Rosenberg, a singer-songwriter from Brighton, England. He began his career fronting a folk-rock band called Passenger before going solo and keeping the name, spending years busking on street corners across the UK and beyond before finding wider recognition. That grinding, itinerant period shaped both his songwriting voice and his live reputation as a compelling, road-tested performer.

His breakthrough came with the 2012 album All the Little Lights and its single «Let Her Go», a stripped-back, melancholic acoustic song that became a global hit, topping charts in numerous countries and amassing billions of streams and views. The song's success brought Passenger's earlier busking-honed catalogue, including tracks like «Holes» and «Heart's On Fire», to a much larger audience.

Since then he has released a steady stream of albums, including Whispers, Young as the Morning Old as the Sea, and later records recorded partly at Abbey Road Studios, maintaining a prolific pace of roughly an album a year. His sound centers on intimate acoustic guitar, warm folk and country textures, and plainspoken, narrative lyrics, with songs like «Home», «Simple Song» and «Hell Or High Water» reflecting his enduring focus on melody and storytelling over spectacle.
