Paolo Nutini

Paolo Nutini is a Scottish singer-songwriter from Paisley, near Glasgow, whose soulful voice and eclectic songwriting have made him one of the UK's most distinctive pop-rock artists of the 2000s and 2010s. Raised in a family with wide-ranging musical tastes, he was exposed early to folk, jazz, opera, and R&B, influences that later fused into his own sound. He left school as a teenager, moved to London, and signed to Atlantic Records shortly after turning eighteen.

His debut album «These Streets» (2006) introduced a warm, folk-and-soul-inflected pop style, while «Sunny Side Up» (2009) leaned into a looser, brass-driven, almost vintage feel with hits like «Candy» and «Coming Up Easy». «Caustic Love» (2014) marked a heavier turn toward funk and blues-rock, showcasing his raw, weathered vocal delivery on tracks such as «Scream (Funk My Life Up)» and «Iron Sky», the latter built around a speech from Charlie Chaplin's «The Great Dictator».
