Orange & Lemons

Orange and Lemons are a Filipino pop rock band formed in 1999, initially built around vocalist and guitarist Mcoy Fundales alongside Clem Castro and the del Mundo brothers, Ace and JM. The group became one of the leading acts of the Philippine indie/alternative scene in the 2000s, drawing on influences from British guitar bands and the local OPM alternative tradition established by acts like the Eraserheads.

Their music is marked by jangly guitars, melodic hooks, and a nostalgic, romantic songwriting style delivered largely in Filipino, which helped their songs cross over to mainstream radio audiences. The band's commercial breakthrough came with their sophomore album, «Strike Whilst the Iron is Hot» (2005), which produced widely loved singles including «Hanggang Kailan (Umuwi Ka Na Baby)» and «Pinoy Ako».

The band split in 2007 amid musical differences; former members went on to form other projects, including Kenyo and The Camerawalls. After a decade-long hiatus, Orange and Lemons reunited in 2017, continuing to perform their catalog of OPM alternative classics for a new generation of listeners.
