Olivia O'Brien

Olivia O’Brien (born November 26, 1999) is an American singer-songwriter from Napa, California, now based in Los Angeles. She got her start posting covers on SoundCloud, and her original song «hate u love u» was picked up by producer gnash, who added a verse and reworked it into «i hate u, i love u», a top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and a number-one single in Australia — launching her career while she was still a teenager.

Her own music leans into confessional, breakup-driven pop with R&B and light rap influences, marked by blunt, diary-style lyrics about heartbreak, self-doubt and moving on, heard in songs like «Josslyn», «RIP» and «Fuck Feelings».
