Niall Horan

Niall Horan is an Irish singer-songwriter and guitarist born on September 13, 1993. He rose to fame at 16 after auditioning as a solo act on The X Factor UK, where he was grouped with four other contestants to form One Direction, which went on to become one of the best-selling boy bands in the world. Following the group's 2015 hiatus, Horan launched a solo career signed to Capitol Records.

His solo debut single «This Town» in 2016 marked a deliberate shift toward a stripped-down, guitar-driven singer-songwriter style, distancing himself from the boy-band pop sound and pointing instead to influences from classic rock and folk of the 1970s. The follow-up, «Slow Hands», leaned further into that retro-rock homage and became one of his signature hits, helping establish his debut solo album as a showcase for his songwriting and live-band instincts.

Since then, Horan has released additional solo albums, exploring pop, rock and country-tinged textures, and has collaborated with artists including Maren Morris, Julia Michaels and Ashe. He also contributed a song to the animated film Smallfoot and founded the golf management company Modest! Golf. Tracks like «Nice To Meet Ya», «Put a Little Love on Me» and «Heaven» reflect his continued evolution as a solo artist beyond his origins in one of pop's defining boy bands.
