Neton Vega

Netón Vega, born Luis Ernesto Vega Carvajal, is a Mexican singer-songwriter from La Paz, Baja California Sur, who became one of the most influential figures behind the corridos tumbados movement before stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist. Before launching his own career, he was already known within the industry as a songwriter, penning major hits for Peso Pluma and Tito Double P, including «Rubicon» and «La People», tracks that helped define the modern sound of música mexicana.

As a performer, Netón Vega built his solo catalog around songs like «La Patrulla (V1)», «Loco» and «Morena», blending traditional corrido storytelling with reggaeton and urban textures, a fusion that has resonated widely with younger audiences. His songwriting is marked by direct, autobiographical narratives, a hallmark of the tumbados subgenre.

He has collaborated with many of the genre's leading names, including Peso Pluma, Tito Double P, Luis R. Conriquez, Gabito Ballesteros, Alemán, Xavi and Myke Towers, reinforcing his role as both a writer and performer who helped push música mexicana toward a more urban, cross-genre identity.
