Nancy Ajram - نانسي عجرم

Nancy Ajram, born May 16, 1983, is a Lebanese singer widely regarded as one of the leading figures of Arab pop music, sometimes dubbed the «Queen of Arab Pop». She began performing as a child with her father's support and signed her first recording contract with EMI at age 15, releasing her debut album Mihtagalak in 1998, an unusually early start that was followed a few years later by Sheel Oyoonak Anni.

Her career breakthrough came through a partnership with producer Jiji Lamara and composer Mohamed Saad, resulting in the controversial hit «Akhasmak Ah» and the album Ya Salam (2003), which repositioned her with a bolder, more glamorous public image. The follow-up, Ah W Noss (2004), cemented her status as a pan-Arab pop icon, producing chart-topping singles such as «Ah W Noss», «Lawn Ayounak», «Oul Tani Keda» and «Enta Eih».

Ajram's music blends contemporary Arab pop with electronic production, catchy hooks and Egyptian-dialect Arabic lyrics, a combination that helped her reach audiences across the Middle East and North Africa well beyond Lebanon. Songs like «Fi Hagat», «Ya Tabtab Wa Dallaa», «Ma Tegi Hena», «Yay» and «Ana Yalli Bahebak» further built her catalog of hits, and she also became a prominent television personality and businesswoman, expanding her public profile beyond music.
