Mr. Probz

Mr. Probz, born Dennis Princewell Stehr, is a Dutch singer, rapper, and musician known for blending soulful, raspy vocals with hip-hop and R&B sensibilities. He began his career on the Dutch music scene, releasing songs in his native language before shifting toward English-language material, and self-released his debut album, The Treatment, independently via SoundCloud in 2013, which reached the upper ranks of the Dutch charts.

His breakthrough came with «Waves», a moody, downtempo original that became a global phenomenon after German producer Robin Schulz reworked it into a tropical house remix in 2014. The remix propelled Mr. Probz to international fame, topping charts across Europe and reaching high positions on charts worldwide, and introduced his distinctive smoky voice to a mainstream dance-pop audience.

Following that success, he released further singles including «Nothing Really Matters», continuing to work at the intersection of soulful songwriting and electronic production. Mr. Probz remains a notable figure in Dutch popular music and an example of how a homegrown, independently released track can cross over into worldwide success through remix culture.
