MONSTA X

MONSTA X is a South Korean boy group formed by Starship Entertainment, with its members selected through the survival show No.Mercy in 2015. Known for a sound rooted in hip-hop with heavy trap and electronic influences, the group built a reputation for powerful choreography and an intense, masculine concept that set them apart within K-pop.

The lineup originally consisted of seven members — Shownu, Wonho, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Joohoney, Hyungwon, and I.M — before Wonho's departure in 2019 left the group as a six-piece. Their catalog spans hard-hitting singles like «Jealousy» and «Shoot Out» alongside more melodic tracks, and their rap line, particularly Joohoney and I.M, has been central to the group's songwriting.

MONSTA X expanded into the English-language market with the single «Who Do U Love?» featuring French Montana, which charted on the US Pop Songs Airplay chart, followed by their debut English album All About Luv. Their international touring, including major festival appearances in the US, helped establish them as one of the more globally recognized K-pop acts of the late 2010s.
