Marshmello

Marshmello is an American electronic music producer and DJ known for performing anonymously behind a white marshmallow-shaped helmet. Emerging around 2015, he quickly became one of the most commercially successful figures in modern EDM, releasing music through his own label, Joytime Collective.

His breakthrough came with the viral instrumental track «Alone» in 2016, followed by a string of pop-leaning EDM hits including «Silence» with Khalid, «FRIENDS» with Anne-Marie, and «Happier» with Bastille, which helped bring his sound to mainstream pop audiences well beyond dedicated dance music fans. His debut album, Joytime, released in January 2016, established the melodic, festival-ready style that would define much of his catalog.

Marshmello's sound blends future bass, trap and mainstream pop songwriting, characterized by big melodic drops, sing-along hooks and frequent collaborations with pop and hip-hop vocalists.
