Maher Zain is a Swedish-Lebanese singer, songwriter and producer known for pioneering a contemporary style of Islamic-themed R&B and pop. Born in Tripoli, Lebanon, he moved to Sweden as a child and later built a career in music production before turning to songwriting rooted in his Muslim faith. His 2009 debut album, «Thank You Allah», released with Awakening Records, became a landmark in modern nasheed music, blending Western R&B and pop production with lyrics of devotion and gratitude, and it found a massive international audience across the Muslim world.
