Maggie Rogers is an American singer-songwriter and producer from Easton, Maryland who first drew widespread attention in 2016 when a video of Pharrell Williams reacting emotionally to her song «Alaska» during a masterclass at NYU went viral. The track showcased her signature blend of folk songwriting, drawn from years of playing guitar and banjo, with electronic and dance production elements she had been exploring at the time.
