About the artist
Luis Ángel Gómez Jaramillo is a Mexican singer, songwriter and voice actor, born in San Francisco del Rincón, Guanajuato, in November 2004. Known as «El Gallito de Oro» (The Golden Little Rooster), he began performing traditional Mexican music with his grandmother as a young child, developing a striking voice that made him locally famous long before national recognition arrived.
He gained wider attention through his 2017 audition on «La Voz Kids México», where his mature, ranchera-tinged voice impressed both coaches and viewers. That visibility opened the door to a role beyond music: he became the Spanish-language voice of young Miguel Rivera in Disney/Pixar's «Coco», singing tracks like «Un Poco Loco» and «Recuérdame» for Latin American audiences — the work for which he remains best known.
His sound blends Mexican pop with mariachi and ranchera phrasing, carried by an unusually expressive voice for his age. Sitting at the crossroads of film dubbing, children's entertainment and pop music, his association with «Coco» introduced him to millions of listeners and linked his name permanently with songs that fuse Mexican folk tradition and animated storytelling.
