LSD

LSD is a supergroup formed by three established pop and electronic artists: English singer-songwriter and producer Labrinth, Australian singer-songwriter Sia, and American DJ and producer Diplo. Their playful group name doubles as a wink to the psychedelic drug and an acronym of the members' initials. The project was reportedly initiated by Labrinth, who brought together Sia and Diplo, both based in Los Angeles, after the three had already spent time writing music together.

The trio was teased in 2018 through cryptic social media posts, including an Instagram image of a cassette tape marked «LSD», before officially unveiling themselves. Their sound blends Sia's distinctive, powerhouse vocals with Labrinth's soulful pop sensibility and Diplo's dance and hip-hop influenced production, resulting in bright, maximalist pop songs built for both radio and the dancefloor.

The group's debut single «Genius», featuring rapper Sia and reworked with a Lil Wayne remix, was quickly followed by «Audio» and the breakout hit «Thunderclouds», which became one of their most successful and widely streamed songs. LSD released their self-titled debut album in 2019, showcasing the chemistry between three artists who each had substantial solo and collaborative careers before joining forces, and cementing the project as a distinctive entry in the pop supergroup format.
