LOBODA

Svitlana Loboda, known professionally as LOBODA, is a Ukrainian pop and electronic singer, songwriter, TV host and businesswoman born in Kyiv. She rose to prominence in the mid-2000s as a member of the girl group VIA Gra before launching a solo career defined by high-energy dance-pop, glossy electronic production and provocative, theatrical stage shows. Over two decades she has become one of the most visible pop stars in the post-Soviet space, known for reinventing her image with each release.

Her sound blends club-oriented electronic beats with pop hooks, occasional forays into rock and country-tinged ballads, and Ukrainian- and Russian-language lyrics dealing with love, independence and heartbreak. Albums such as H2LO marked a turn toward a more futuristic, cosmic aesthetic and cemented her reputation for ambitious visual concepts and elaborate music videos.
