Letto

Letto is an Indonesian pop-rock band formed in 2004 in Yogyakarta, on the island of Java. The band built its reputation on emotionally direct, melodic songwriting delivered with a distinctive, expressive vocal style, becoming one of the most recognizable acts of the mid-2000s Indonesian pop scene.

Their breakthrough came with the debut album Truth, Cry, and Lie in 2005, which produced hit singles including «Ruang Rindu» and «Sandaran Hati», songs that became staples of Indonesian pop radio and are still widely recognized today for their heartfelt, romantic lyricism. The band continued this melodic, ballad-leaning approach across subsequent releases such as Don't Make Me Sad and Lethologica, refining a sound built on soaring choruses and piano- or guitar-led arrangements.

Letto's music sits within the broader wave of Indonesian pop bands of the 2000s that blended rock instrumentation with accessible, radio-friendly melodies, and songs like «Sebelum Cahaya» and «Permintaan Hati» further cemented their catalogue of emotionally resonant hits.
