Kobo Kanaeru

Kobo Kanaeru is an Indonesian VTuber under hololive Indonesia, the Indonesian branch of Japanese talent agency hololive production. She debuted in March 2022 as part of hololive Indonesia's third generation, alongside Vestia Zeta and Kaela Kovalskia, and quickly built a large following for her energetic, unfiltered on-stream personality.

According to her official lore, Kobo lives atop a lighthouse and is descended from the region's strongest rainmakers, able to control rain despite disliking being commanded to do so. She is especially recognized for her wavy blue hair, her «kusogaki»-style brattish streaming persona, and her catchphrases, including the iconic slang expression «anying». Unlike many of her hololive Indonesia peers who lean on English or Japanese, Kobo streams predominantly in Indonesian, making her a distinctive voice within the wider hololive ecosystem and a key figure for Indonesian-language VTuber content.

Musically, Kobo has released original songs and covers that lean into pop, with tracks like «Mantra Hujan» and «Oh! Asmara» reflecting her playful, rain-themed persona and connection to Indonesian pop sensibilities.
