Kina, the stage name of Pasquale Renella, is an Italian record producer and DJ from Acerra, near Naples. He began releasing music independently, issuing his debut EP «roses» in 2017, before achieving a global breakthrough in March 2018 with «Get You the Moon», a dreamy lo-fi pop track featuring vocals by Norwegian singer Snøw.

The song's melancholic, bedroom-pop atmosphere—built on mellow synths, laid-back beats, and wistful vocal hooks—found massive traction on streaming platforms and social media years after its release, eventually becoming one of the most-streamed tracks by an Italian producer internationally. Its success led Kina to sign with Columbia Records.

Kina's sound sits at the crossroads of lo-fi, chillhop, and electronic pop, characterized by soft, hazy production and emotionally direct songwriting, often built around featured vocalists rather than his own singing. Tracks like «Can We Kiss Forever?» and «i'm in love with you» continued this formula, cementing his identity as a producer who crafts intimate, late-night pop atmospheres for a young, internet-native audience.
