きくお (Kikuo)

Kikuo is a Japanese music producer known for composing songs performed by Vocaloid voicebanks, most notably Hatsune Miku. Working within the Japanese Vocaloid and utaite scene, he built a distinctive niche by pairing bright, playful, almost childlike melodies with unsettling, macabre, or transgressive lyrical themes, a contrast that has become his signature.

His sound blends baroque-pop arrangements, intricate vocal harmonies, and carefully layered sound effects, giving his tracks a theatrical, almost storybook quality even as the subject matter turns dark.
