Kevinho, born Kevin Kawan de Azevedo in 1998 in Campinas, Brazil, is one of the leading figures of funk carioca's mainstream explosion in the mid-2010s. He began releasing music as a young teenager, and by his late teens had become one of the most streamed Brazilian artists thanks to a string of viral hits produced in partnership with the KondZilla label, a key force in bringing funk from Brazilian favelas to global audiences via YouTube.

His breakthrough came with «Tumbalatum» in 2016, a KondZilla-produced video that raked in hundreds of millions of views and turned him into a household name in Brazil, launching a series of television appearances. He followed with «Olha a Explosão», notable for blending traditional funk with ragga rhythms, along with hits such as «O Grave Bater» and «Rabiola», cementing a sound built on heavy bass, upbeat tempos, and catchy, danceable hooks characteristic of funk ostentação and its successors.

Kevinho's music sits at the intersection of funk, pop, and electronic production, favoring polished, radio-and-club-ready tracks over the rawer sound of earlier funk carioca.
