KATSEYE

KATSEYE is an international girl group formed through the reality competition series The Debut: Dream Academy, a collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records that applied K-pop training methodology on a global scale. The six members — Sophia, Lara, Yoonchae, Megan, Daniela, and Manon — come from the Philippines, the United States, South Korea, and Switzerland, making the group a deliberate experiment in cross-cultural pop stardom rather than a regionally rooted act.

The group debuted in August 2024 with the EP «SIS (Soft is Strong)», accompanied by the Netflix documentary series Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE, which chronicled their training process and gave audiences unusual insight into the mechanics of idol development. Their sound blends pop, R&B, electronic, and rap textures, reflecting both K-pop production polish and Western pop songwriting sensibilities.

In 2025 KATSEYE released their second EP, «BEAUTIFUL CHAOS», led by the singles «Gnarly» and «Gabriela». Both tracks went viral and significantly raised the group's international profile, cementing KATSEYE as one of the most closely watched new acts to emerge from the HYBE-Universal Music Group partnership.
