KAROL G

KAROL G, born Carolina Giraldo Navarro on February 14, 1991, in Medellín, Colombia, is one of the most prominent women in contemporary Latin music. She spent over a decade working toward mainstream recognition, releasing music from 2007 onward before her 2017 collaboration with Bad Bunny, «Ahora Me Llama», propelled her into international visibility. Her debut album, Unstoppable, arrived the same year.

Her sound spans reggaetón, pop, and various Latin urban styles, often incorporating elements of Mexican regional music and dance-pop into her records. She has built a catalog of massive collaborations, including «Tusa» with Nicki Minaj and «TQG» with Shakira, both defining moments in the reggaetón-pop crossover space of the early 2020s.

Her most significant achievement came with Mañana Será Bonito in 2023, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, making her the first woman to top the chart with an entirely Spanish-language album.
