Kabir Cafe

Kabir Cafe is an Indian musical ensemble based in Mumbai that sets the centuries-old mystic poetry of the medieval saint-poet Kabir to contemporary music, blending Indian folk traditions with rock, jazz and reggae influences. The group grew out of the wider Kabir revival movement in Indian music, which in recent decades has brought the poet-mystic's dohas and bhajans to new urban audiences through fusion arrangements rather than strictly classical or folk renditions.
