K/DA

K/DA is a virtual pop group created by Riot Games as part of the League of Legends universe, designed to promote in-game character cosmetics while functioning as a genuinely active musical act. The group is built around animated versions of four of the game's champions — Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai'Sa — with vocals originally provided by real-world singers and producers behind the scenes. Its name is drawn from «Kills, Deaths, and Assists», the core performance statistic tracked in League of Legends matches.

K/DA debuted spectacularly with «POP/STARS» at the League of Legends 2018 World Championship opening ceremony in Incheon, South Korea, a performance that blended live orchestration with augmented-reality holograms of the animated members. The song became a viral sensation, showcasing a sound that fuses K-pop-inflected pop hooks, electronic production, and rap verses. Following that success, Riot expanded the project with the ALL OUT EP in 2020, featuring tracks like «THE BADDEST», «MORE», «I'LL SHOW YOU», «VILLAIN», and «DRUM GO DUM», and later used the concept to help introduce a new champion, Seraphine, into the game.
