Jungle

Jungle is a British musical project formed in London, built around producers and multi-instrumentalists Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland, who write and produce as J and T. Emerging in the early 2010s with a self-titled debut, the group quickly became known for a warm, retro-leaning sound that fuses funk, soul, disco, and modern electronic production, drawing heavily on 1970s groove music filtered through contemporary dance sensibilities.

Jungle's music is built on tight basslines, layered falsetto vocal harmonies, and a heavy emphasis on choreography and visual identity — the duo have consistently paired releases with stylised, dance-driven music videos that function as a core part of their artistic project. Songs like «Busy Earnin'» and «Happy Man» established their sound early on, while later records expanded the palette with brighter, more overtly dancefloor-oriented production, culminating in collaborations with vocalists such as Priya Ragu and rapper Bas on tracks including «Keep Moving».

The group has earned Mercury Prize recognition and built a global touring career, moving from club-sized shows to headlining major venues and festivals including Coachella and Bonnaroo. Jungle present themselves as much as visual and choreographic artists as musicians, treating albums, videos, and live shows as parts of one continuous creative universe.
