Jung Kook (정국)

Jung Kook, born Jeon Jungkook on September 1, 1997, in Busan, South Korea, is a singer, songwriter, dancer, and producer best known as the main vocalist of the globally successful K-pop group BTS. He auditioned for talent shows as a young teenager and, despite receiving offers from multiple agencies, chose to join Big Hit Entertainment, debuting with BTS in 2013 at age fifteen.

Within the group he earned the nickname «Golden Maknae», reflecting both his status as the youngest member and his versatility across singing, dancing, rapping, and instrumental performance. Over the years he grew into an active songwriter and producer, contributing to BTS tracks including «Run», «Autumn Leaves», «Magic Shop», and «My Time», and is credited as a writer or composer on numerous songs.

As BTS members pursued individual projects, Jung Kook released acclaimed solo singles blending pop, R&B, and electronic-influenced production, including «Seven» and «Standing Next to You», which achieved major chart success internationally, alongside earlier solo tracks like «Euphoria» and «Still With You». His solo work showcases a smoother, more contemporary pop-R&B sound distinct from BTS's group material, cementing his standing as one of the most prominent K-pop soloists on the world stage.
