JONY

JONY, born Jahid Huseynli, is an Azerbaijani-born singer and songwriter who built his career in the Russian-language pop scene. He rose to widespread fame through YouTube and streaming with emotionally charged, melodic tracks like «Аллея» (Alley) and «Комета» (Comet), which turned him into one of the most-streamed Russian-language pop artists of his generation almost overnight.

His sound blends pop with elements of rap, R&B and electronic production, favoring lush, atmospheric arrangements and confessional lyrics about love and heartbreak, delivered in a distinctive breathy, high-register vocal style. His debut album Список твоих мыслей (2019) cemented this signature sound, and he followed it with the EP Небесные розы (2020) and the album Не ищите во мне жанры (2022), the latter title reflecting his deliberate resistance to being boxed into one genre.

Beyond recording, JONY gained further visibility as the winner of the second season of the Russian version of The Masked Singer in 2021, and he has been recognized at major regional award shows including the Golden Gramophone, Zhara Music Awards and Muz-TV, establishing him as a defining voice of contemporary Russian-language pop.
