Jonathan Nelson

Jonathan Nelson is an American gospel singer and songwriter from Baltimore, Maryland, who grew up immersed in church music as the son of a pastor. He first developed as a vocalist and writer while singing backup with a group called Purpose, alongside friends from his home congregation, before going on to build a career centered on choir-driven, contemporary gospel arrangements.

Nelson's breakthrough came through his songwriting: his composition «Healed» was picked up by Grammy-nominated choir leader Donald Lawrence and became a widely recognized gospel hit, helping establish Nelson as a sought-after writer within the gospel community and earning him industry recognition as a Stellar Award-winning songwriter.
