Jimin (지민)

Jimin, born Park Jimin in Busan, South Korea, is the lead vocalist and main dancer of the K-pop group BTS. He trained under Big Hit Entertainment after joining as the group’s final member and debuted with BTS in 2013, quickly becoming known for his agile dance technique and expressive, high-register vocals.

Beyond his role in BTS, Jimin has contributed to songwriting on several group tracks and released solo material exploring R&B and pop textures with emotional, introspective lyrics. His 2018 solo track «약속 (Promise)», released independently online, drew wide attention for its intimate sound and its unusual free release outside the group’s official catalog.

As part of BTS, Jimin has been central to the group’s global rise, contributing to genre-blending records that mix pop, hip-hop, R&B and rock, and to elaborate choreography that has become a hallmark of the group’s live performances and music videos.
