JIHYO

JIHYO, born Park Ji-hyo, is a South Korean singer and dancer best known as a member of the girl group TWICE under JYP Entertainment. She trained for an unusually long period before debuting, having joined JYP as a trainee while still a child, and earned her spot in the group after placing highly on the 2015 survival show SIXTEEN, which selected TWICE's lineup. Within TWICE she has served as the group's leader and main vocalist, anchoring the group's sound across its run of Korean and Japanese hits.

Beyond her group work, JIHYO has lent her voice to several Korean drama OSTs, building a reputation as a reliable vocalist outside the idol-pop context. In August 2023 she stepped out as a soloist with the mini album «ZONE», led by the single «Killin' Me Good», which showcased a more mature, R&B-inflected pop sound distinct from TWICE's brighter, hook-driven style. The English version of the single extended the song's reach to international audiences.

Her solo work sits at the intersection of K-pop and contemporary R&B and pop, drawing on her years of vocal training within JYP's system. She has also appeared in variety and entertainment programming, including a memorable outing on «The King of Mask Singer». As both a group leader and emerging solo artist, JIHYO represents one of the more vocally distinguished figures among fourth-generation K-pop idols to branch into solo releases.
